Medical Director

Northstar Physicians Network and Integrity Health Network, LLC seek a Medical Director.

Requirements/skills:

Medical degree.
Practicing within the network.
Ability to travel to all of our clinics every year at least one time: purpose is to meet with physicians to discuss technology use, QI, P4P, high level process issues, etc

Desirables in candidate:

Ability to visit clinics about two days per month.
Participate in various key meetings.
Comfortable with a myriad of technology uses in medicine: mobile, web, site sharing, online forums/meetings, online chat, text, Skype (or Skype like).
Accessible to network providers on an open, or at least a regularly scheduled basis. (Phone, email, text messages.)
Able to work with clinics in developing inter-clinic EHR strategies.
Visionary – innovative, willing to consider new ideas and propose to board and clinics
Independent in thought process
Open to new thoughts, ideas, technology
Not reactionary - can be challenged by physicians and health plans; needs to stay calm under fire
Good communicator – listens and hears feedback, easily understood
Understanding of current quality improvement and pay-for-performance initiatives
Has basic, contemporary knowledge of QI theory and is committed to additional and ongoing learning.
Able and willing to work with clinics, providers and staff, in the development and support of QI programs.
Willingness and ability to do motivational interventions, and if needed, apply disciplinary interventions.

January, 2010: DULUTH-BASED CLINIC EXPANSION
Through a partnership among several organizations and clinics, we are dramatically expanding one of our Duluth sites. We are seeking entrepreneurial minded physicians and mid-level providers who are looking for a different way to practice and an ownership stake in their future. The expansion includes family practice as well as specialties. The site will incorporate bold new changes in how medicine is practiced and includes a whole new level of care incorporating patient-friendly technologies including electronic health records, e-prescribing, online patient education and care coordination, e-clinic visits and secure patient to provider communications with a high level of customer service.
